Appearance

Your first impression of Diana when you meet is warm. Her presence, her coloring, her wide smile all attribute to the fact. Her skin is naturally tan, her eyes a warm brown, just a few shades darker than her hair. She keep it cropped just below her jawline, sometimes letting it go in a wild pixie-like look or fall in loose waves. Standing at 5'7" with curves to die for, lovely is an accurate description for her.

Personality:

Soft hearted and compassionate, Diana is the type of person it's difficult not to fall in love with right away. She's very down to earth, fun and laid back, with a great sense of humor. She's the type of person who doesn't have to raise her voice to be heard, soothing and energetic all depending on what she thinks you need.

It's tough to anger her, she's prone to get more emotional. Diana is always looking for the peaceful solution to things. So much she can be a pushover if she's not careful. Sometimes accidentally and occasionally on purpose, she's good at playing the guilt card for all it's worth.

Diana's also a bit on the eccentric side. Okay really on the eccentric side. She's always been the 'cool' mom, the one that listens to the same music as her kids and plays in water fights with the kids. She's a free spirit, open minded and spontaneous, even silly sometimes. That's part of her charm.

She's creative and very artistically inclined. She paints and draws very well, though her true calling is in fashion.

History:

Diana doesn't know when her family came to Mysteria, only that the place was the perfect fit for her growing up. She was free to be her unique self and loved it. Growing up around such unique people inspired her for her career when she got older. The neighbor she had no idea was faerie helped her learn the art of design and taught her to see with an aesthetic eye at an early age.

When she graduated, she was accepted to Colombia college to study, but took economic courses at the University of Chicago. There she would meet Derek, her future husband, the love of her life. The moment she met him, she knew he was it for her. That she could live her entire lifetime and never love anyone else a fraction as much as she did him. He was her soulmate, the proverbial 'one' you only hear about in books or movies.

Once they were married, they began their family immediately. Diana's mother couldn't have any more children after her. She knew life as an only child and didn't want that for her kids. Soon, her first child arrived, then barely over a year later her daughter Aurora. Three years after her, she had another. They waited another six years and then Lorelei was born, the twins a boy and girl following just eleven months later. The twins are six years old now.

All of their children were unique and special in their own right...but some of the kids had talents that most, well human children didn't. When she was just a toddler, Rory began to knock things over by just looking at them. She grew and the powers with her. Diana believed her to be an evolutionary leap, just like Lorelei, who was beyond genius level before she could get into kindergarten.

When they left Mysteria because Derek got a better job in Chicago, they adjusted just fine because they had eachother to lean on. Derek and Diana knew the city well, so it wasn't that big of a change for them. Derek had his career and she had hers, but they never missed anything important. To them, the important things are her children's dance recitals, baseball games or dinner date with just her husband. Her family is her world, and she has no problem letting anyone know.

However her world felt like it had shattered when she discovered her husband was having an affair. Unable to take it, she went back home to Mysteria in an attempt to start her life over for her kids, but on her own this time. She tries to put on a brave face for the children, but she left half of herself when she left Derek. The kids have been her salvation, her determination to be strong for them.

Flaws

Diana's a bit scatter brained at times, forgetting where she put things, or wanting to add just one more detail that she'd forgotten. She's got a lot to keep up with and sometimes she falls behind.

She doesn't know how to fight to save her own life. Oh she would try of course. But lose. She can't even slap people enough to make it hurt and usually apologizes for it afterward. This makes it extremely easy to hurt her, physically and such weakness crosses into her emotions as well.

Since she's left Derek she hasn't been able to sleep very well, if at all. She doesn't even try to cure her insomnia, just throws herself into something.

Merits

Diana's the kind of mom every kid wishes they had. Understanding and gentle, but firm when she needs to be, even though it's tough on her. She loves to be silly and fun with the kids.

Not quite an affinity, but she's got a big heart for animals, and takes care of strays she can't get homes for.
